Announcing Memberships for Creator Courses

A little over 3 years ago, I moved away from Scranton, PA. It was the right decision, of-course. I got married and my wife and I got a place closer to where she worked. After living there for over a decade (between college and post-graduate life), I can say I was ready.

But there is something I still miss from those days: teaching inside of a classroom.

I Love Teaching

See, I was an adjunct professor at my alma mater, The University of Scranton. And I loved it. I enjoyed teaching, and interacting with my students. I liked that I could get their opinions on technology, and help prepare them for the “real world.”

So when I moved away, I knew I would miss it. That’s why I started Creator Courses in the first place. I still get to teach. But I don’t get the “classroom experience.” Until now.

I’m happy to finally announce memberships on Creator Courses.

Last week, popular web development website A List Apart (ALA) released the results of it’s 2007 Web Design Survey. I’ve…

  • Happy Anniversary, How I Built It!

One year ago today, I launched Episode 1 of How I Built It, the podcast I started to learn from other business owners. I announced it by telling the story of Il Duomo, which I had seen in person 2 months prior. That’s still a great story that gets at the heart of what I’m trying…

  • Win a Signed Book or Other Great Prizes!

This week I rolled out a new design for Responsive Design with WordPress’s site. I decided that on top of the site starting to feel a little stale, there wasn’t a whole lot of information about the book aside from a little blurb. I added a bit more that will hopefully give visitors a better…

  • I recommend SiteGround Hosting, but Who is it for?

Choosing the right hosting company can be an insurmountable task full of features, recommendations, and affiliate links*. There are a wide range of them, depending on what you need and what you know. A few months ago, for example, I switched this site to Liquid Web. Why don’t I just recommend them to everyone? Well…

  • Have an Inquisitive Mind

If I had to pick one thing I knew for certain my wife likes about me, it would be my inquisitive nature. She says it regularly. It’s because we’ll be talking about something and I’ll blurt out, “I wonder how that started,” or “Who do you think the first person to try that was,” or…
